We are proud to share the completion and handover of a new memorial and community garden space at Tourmaline House, Camphill — a project designed by Mark from Flow Garden Design.

Mark’s design thoughtfully incorporated architectural elements from the main house at Camphill, creating a seamless connection between the garden and its historic surroundings. The space has been carefully built using traditional and local materials such as Caithness stone and whin cobbles, which remain at the heart of our landscaping ethos here at Garradh.

Although we’ve now officially handed over the project to Tourmaline House, I couldn’t be more proud of my team for the skill and dedication they brought to this garden.

This project is particularly close to my heart. During my university years, I worked at Camphill as a support worker. It was there that I built lifelong friendships and relationships that continue to this day — and it is those connections that allow Garradh Landscape & Design to return as the main contractor for landscaping works.

We will be back once the planting has been selected, and we have volunteered to carry out the planting alongside the residents — an opportunity we are very much looking forward to.

This new garden is more than just a landscape; it is a shared space of remembrance, reflection, and community.
