From Vision to Reality
A considered approach to creating exceptional outdoor spaces — from our first conversation through to construction, completion and beyond.
Our Process
-

Step 1 - Initial Consultation
Every exceptional garden starts with a conversation.
Our initial consultation is an opportunity to meet at your property, explore the existing space and understand what you would like your garden to become. We’ll discuss how you use the space, your ideas and priorities, preferred materials and finishes, budget expectations and the overall level of investment required to achieve your vision.
We’ll also consider the practical elements from the outset — access, levels, drainage, existing features and any potential challenges — drawing on our experience of delivering high-quality gardens across Scotland.
Whether you already have a professionally designed garden or are at the very beginning of the process, our aim is simple: to understand your vision and establish the right direction for your project from day one.
-

Step 2 - Site Survey
Following the initial consultation, we take a closer look at the details that will shape your project.
Our site survey allows us to accurately assess the garden, taking measurements and reviewing existing levels, access, drainage, boundaries and other important site conditions. We also consider existing trees, structures and features that may be retained or incorporated into the finished garden.
This stage gives us a clear understanding of both the opportunities and practical considerations of the site before detailed design and planning begins.
For our clients, it means fewer surprises later. By understanding the garden properly from the outset, we can plan confidently, anticipate challenges and ensure that what is proposed can be beautifully and practically delivered.
-

Step 3 - Design
Exceptional gardens begin with a clear and considered vision.
For straightforward projects, our experienced team can help develop your ideas, advising on layout, materials and practical construction details.
For larger or more design-led projects, we recommend working with a professional garden designer, landscape designer or architect. We collaborate with talented designers across Scotland and can introduce the right professional for your project, or work seamlessly with your chosen designer.
We value these relationships and respect the distinction between design and construction. Our role is to bring the vision to life through practical expertise, exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
-

Step 4 - Quotation
Clarity from the outset.
Once the scope and design are established, we prepare a detailed, itemised quotation covering the works, materials and key elements required to deliver your garden.
We believe in transparent pricing and clear communication, allowing you to understand the investment involved before construction begins.
Once approved, a deposit secures your project within our schedule and we begin preparing for the build.
-

Step 5 - Construction
This is where your garden begins to take shape.
Our experienced team manages every stage of the build with care, precision and attention to detail. From groundwork and drainage through to stonework, paving, structures and finishing details, we build to exacting standards using carefully selected materials.
Throughout construction, we keep you informed, maintain an organised and respectful site, and work closely with your designer or architect where involved.
The result is a garden built beautifully, correctly and made to last.
-

Step 6 - Aftercare
Our commitment doesn’t end when the build is complete.
Once your garden is handed over, we remain available to offer advice and support as your new outdoor space settles, establishes and evolves.
From planting and materials to lighting and finishing details, we want you to enjoy your garden with confidence for many years to come.
Pricing Transparency
We believe exceptional gardens begin with honest conversations about investment.
Every project is unique, and costs will vary depending on scale, materials, access, complexity and the level of craftsmanship involved. From the outset, we aim to provide realistic expectations around budget, followed by a clear and detailed quotation once the scope of works is established.
No vague allowances or unnecessary surprises — just transparent pricing, considered choices and a shared understanding of where your investment is going.
Understanding Your Investment
Every garden is different. Scale, access, levels, materials, planting and specification all influence the final investment. To help establish expectations from the outset, our professionally built garden projects typically begin from around £35,000, with larger bespoke landscapes often exceeding £80,000.
Driveway and smaller standalone projects are considered individually depending on their scope and specification.
Every project is unique. These figures provide a guide to typical investment levels, with final costs determined by scale, specification, materials, access and complexity.
